Fundamental Classes are designed to give our students a complete understanding of the BJJ system, allowing them to both compete in the sport of Jiu Jitsu, and develop the ability to defend themselves. Through detailed teaching and partner drills you will be introduced to the basic positions of BJJ, learn how to keep yourself safe, escape to dominant positions, and finally control and restrain your opponent. Classes will end with 'rolling' where students have the opportunity to practice their techniques in a live, realistic situation.
These classes are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. It doesn't matter if you're new to exercise and the martial arts world, or you are a fitness veteran, you can participate at your own pace.
Requirement for these classes:
- PPE: Gi & belt (Winter), rashguard and shorts (Summer), plus mouth guard.
